GLENALMOND REACHES FINALS OF NATIONAL AWARDS

We are delighted to announce that Glenalmond has made it into the finals of the Performing Arts category of the Independent School of the Year Awards 2021.

We are delighted with this fantastic recognition of our outstanding Theatre, Drama and Music provision at Glenalmond and the exceptional work of Mrs Moss (our Director of Theatre), Miss Hynd (our Head of Drama) and Dr Ridley (our Director of Music), and the many other staff who have gone the extra mile to support them over the past year – from music and sets to make-up and props.

There have been many highlights in 2020/21, including the performance of Epicene under incredibly challenging circumstances and the adaption of numerous musical performances from our Autumn Concert to our Candlelit and Remembrance Services. 

Well done to all the pupils and staff involved and thanks to the parents who supported in many different ways.

The winners of each category will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony being held on Thursday 7^th October at 3pm. Invitations to the online event will be shared later this month, but in the meantime please save the date.

The judges of this year's awards said: "It was an extremely tough decision to whittle down the finalists from more than 700 nominations received and especially given the consistently high standard of the entries. Thank you to all schools for taking part and congratulations to not only the finalists, but all schools who were shortlisted."
