Respects Paid To Greg Deakin OG

Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of our former pupil, Greg Deakin, whose funeral was held at Glenalmond College Chapel earlier today.

Greg (Matheson’s, 1984-90) embraced all that Glenalmond had to offer and forged many long-standing friendships here.

An early flair for design and technology during his school days underpinned his success in many businesses, including running over 30 holiday properties and a hotel near Loch Tay. 

Greg and Nina’s children, Robin and Molly, currently attend Glenalmond. They are avid skiers like their dad who, in his time at Coll, helped Matheson's win the inter-house ski competition in the late 1980s.

“His energy, restlessness and relentlessness made him terrific company and spurred his success. His twinkling eyes, infectious smile, dancing feet and irrepressible energy will be sorely missed.”
