Glenalmond has enjoyed a double success in a prestigious competition run by The Queen’s College, Oxford University and this week our pupils were delighted to receive their award certificates.

James SF (French) and Ellie A (Spanish) emerged as the top entries from Scotland in the Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators.

More than 1,000 entries were received for the competition – inspired by the life and work of the great translator Anthea Bell – which aims to promote language learning across the UK and to inspire creativity in the classroom.

Dr Caroline Murie, our Head of Languages, and our brilliant Languages team are very proud – as are we all.
