Last week, Ofqual confirmed that the plan is to get back to normal and for GCSE and A-level examinations to go ahead this summer.
They do understand that it has not been easy for pupils, parents and teachers over the last two years. In the unlikely event that examinations do not go ahead, grades will be determined by teachers, who will use evidence from assessments collected over the year.
For Glenalmond pupils this will be very much business as normal and we will adapt our existing assessment framework. Pupils just need to concentrate on working hard to get the best results they can.
Ofqual’s Chief Regulator, Jo Saxton, wrote this letter to pupils explaining more of the details about the summer 2022 examinations.
We have outlined the proposals to pupils today about the summer 2022 examinations arrangements and Mrs Davey, our Subwarden (Academic) will also hold a question and answer session for parents on Thursday 25th November at 1800HRS.
An invitation with link will be sent direct to parents.
