Announcement

We are saddened to hear of the passing of our former Warden John Musson at the age of 93.

Mr Musson was Warden of Glenalmond from 1972-1987, retiring in 1987 following 15 years of devoted service to the College.

Chairman of Council at the time, The Rt Revd Dr Lawrence Edward Luscombe, Bishop of Brechin, described Mr Musson’s lasting impact on the College.

“Perhaps, above all, he has been instrumental in a re-orientation towards the needs of an ever-developing technological age. The opening of the new Design and Technology Centre last year is an achievement that fittingly symbolises all this.”

As Warden, Mr Musson was known for his commitment to attending all plays and operas staged by pupils and for persevering through the worst of the weather to watch rugby and cricket matches.

Our thoughts are with the Musson family at this sad time.
